Some History of Laurel, Mississippi
Laurel, Mississippi is a charming quaint small Southern town. Founded in 1882 as a timber town. Laurel shipped more yellow pined timber than anywhere else in the world during the early 1900's.
Today Laurel is mostly known for the HGTV show Home Town staring Ben and Erin Napier. They have refurbished 69 houses, and numerous shops, and streets in the town of Laurel.
Laurel has a lot of antique shops, local eateries, bakeries, and just that small town feel to it. The people are very sweet and talkative to you.
If you get a chance take a day trip or spend the weekend taking in the sights and the beauty this small town has to offer you.
